Im sorry you have had to wait only a yr. when I got to the yrs end in
my wait I thought That was along time. but I applied for SSD on jan
2005 it is now Sept. 2007 still no SSD. I have been to 2 court hearings
and my claim has gone to appeals council.

I have much health issues. I face issues that i dont know how they will
ever prosper but Iam still alive. I live in constant pain no med
helps. I wish you the best and al I can say is hang in. and be
patient.

GOV does not move very fast for many. some get it in less than 6
months. many wait for as much as 6 yrs. I have asked this question and
still dont know the answer. I have one person I know that waited for 6
yrs for SSD and she was very well deserved to get it but the GOV made
her wait.. many like my self face loosing homes cars and there life.

Again, I wish you the best.

My Dear SirPrize,
I am so glad you responded. It is nice to know that I am not alone. I
have no other income If you know of something I can apply for please let
me know. I have been at this for only a year. I live in Wisconsin and
can't seem to find out the approximate wait time for a hearing. I would
call the SS office but all I ever get is a busy signal. I think they are
down to 2 people in the office now.
I figure I will die before I get the benefits. I am using a company that
specializes in SSDI claims. They will continue fighting for me so my
husband can at least get my backpay. Which brings up another question.
By the time I am approved I will be owed close to $20,000 in backpay.
Why not just approve me and start paying out now. Because of everything
I have diagnosed with I know I will be eventually approved. It would
save time and money to approve me now. Does this make sense?
Just as a side note, to make things more stressful the city, in it's
infinate wisdom, is ripping up the street in front of my house just in
time for a holiday weekend. Yipee!!!!
