Your right about the electricity used for charging + fossil fuels and global
warming cause etc, I was hoping someone here would realise that and maybe
the Gov will too? Anyhow I know that the scooter has given me a whole new
level of independence. Just hoist into the car and off I go. I do use it for
trips local up to the mileage stated but only on nice days. It is a nice
change to have a chat as I said. Just for info as someone asked just what my
disability is. Honestly these days I do not know the name as I think it has
developed. It started out as anky something or other, cant say it never mind
spell it. Has got steadily worse over the last 15 years. An op to stop total
paralysis failed and has left me with one leg dragging. I can and do walk
around the house with mi stick and leaning on the backs of furniture etc.
However when out I have no choice but to use the scooter. There hope that
satisfied you? What is your disability? I have no feeling at all in my right
arm, little in hands, and little in legs. Back to the original question
about scooters and tax, check the link earlier and also check out the DVLA
site. I have talked to one bloke with tax and he said it was free but it was
a pain getting it sorted. BTW I have been told that there are some scooters
that do 12MPH? Anyone know about that, don't want one though.
