I remember your first comments about the out-of-spec pavements that wrecked
your scooter last year. I'm sorry to learn that the default of closed ramks
and @rse-covering has won again. :-( I understand your predicament and
shake my head with some sense of inevitability.

As for Zurich - they're just 'covering' their shareholders' proverbials.
:-/ They are probably no worse than many others, but I totally understand
your boycot. I just can't see how it was thrown out! If the pavement was
out-of-spec - and that wasn't disputed - then the Council is at fault. But
'money makes money'.

I hope some crip-friendly knight in shining garb comes along - but don't
hold your breath. Your only affordable, reactionary, recourse is to use the
gentlepeople (oximoron?....) of The Press to fling the smelly stuff, maybe.
Whether they would be interested this far down the line is the question.

Your epilogue has saddened my (lack of..) faith in Government-nature!......
