I'm not talking about his case in particular, but the general issue of
people possessing (making, etc) on a computer pictures that might have
been taken by a loving parent or reproduced in a book of photographs
available in a high street bookshop but where the person's browsing
and searching history, or perhaps other legal pictures on his HD are
investigated in order to show some kind of ill intent.

Do you approve of this practice?

Do you think it reasonable to infer some kind of 'criminal intent'
from this supplementary information?
