Troll or not... if you read what I posted earlier, you will see how the
courts consider a child's needs being diminished. It's matter of taking the
child's SSI amount off the top of what the courts determine BOTH parents are
capable of paying (via computations regarding income and other items) for
the support of the child. Doing that is what they consider or often call
"diminished needs of the child". It's not that the actual child needs less
in terms of care/money. It just means the amount of support coming from BOTH
parents has diminised because SSI has picked up part of those financial
custodial parents naturally provides his/her end of the support
through normal living with the child. The non-custodial parent pays to Child
Support Enforcement. There are factors as to whether CSE then pays the money
to the non-custodial parent or welfare, which I also posted about.
