Hey, at least one is even a Harvard Man.
Mainly, they're just city workers, government employees...the DMV for
white ethnics.

The vast majority are just collecting a paycheck. At least the
criminals have more initiative and gumption!

Ideally, that would work -- except if it's something about the work
itself that corrupts (their excuse, anyway; the cops'), then it's not
clear how well psychological screening could ever be, ultimately.

I know many cops, actually. Even grew up with quite a few. Regular
guys -- but I don't think they really give a damn about criminology,
psychology, and any kind of sociology. That's like a stripper who's
"working her way through college" majoring in "marketing"....

Certainly it'd help. Cruising around trying to bust people for slowly
riding a bicycling slowly on an sidewalk is a really cowardly way of
making your monthly activity quota. Can't believe the SGTs let them
get away with nuisance tickets.
Seriously, I wasn't just being cute in calling cops "dumb lawyers."
The way you have all these slimebags and their lawsuits, you have
these bovine/porcine gummint workers and their tickets.
